Congratulations to Tom on his Ultra MMA Warrington Fight
19th June 2018
Tom Jackson in our Sale office recently took part in an Ultra MMA event which took place on the 5th July at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.
Tom was matched against James Eastham, a Wigan competitor with a kickboxing background (striking).
Since Toms background was in Brazilian Jiu jitsu (grappling), the two different styles grappling vs striking made for an interesting bout. In the end, Tom was victorious and won by a standing guillotine choke in the 3rd round.
Tom and his team should be proud of what they have achieved for Cancer Research UK. Together, Ultra MMA Warrington & Wigan raised a total of £2320, in which Tom contributed £180.
Tom will be continuing his mixed martial arts training and he has already been asked to compete in next year’s Ultra MMA Warrington event.
Tom still has a number of challenges to complete as he continues to raise awareness for Cancer Research UK. His next challenge is a 15,000ft skydive on 11th August, followed by Tough Mudder on 9th September.
So far Tom has raised £365 for charity and would like to thank everyone who has donated.
Well done Tom, good luck on your forthcoming challenges!
