Working with both Ynys Mon Council and Wynne Construction the project comprised the development and extension of the existing Ysgol Cybi building site in the town centre of Holyhead.

The scheme included the refurbishment and upgrade of the existing Grade II Edwardian listed building together with the new build construction of a 3000m2 extension. The Primary school facilitates the merger of three existing primary schools and will provide for 540 pupils and 75 nursery places in the locality.

The services strategy was developed closely with the Ynys Mon Estates team and was based around a low maintenance solution that is easy to use and operate.

The scheme design included utilising central LTHW derived from high efficiency cast iron gas fired condensing boilers serving underfloor heating throughout the building.

The electrical elements of the scheme comprised of LED lighting throughout on light saving controls, L3 classification fire alarm, CCTV, data systems, photovoltaics to meet the BRUKL requirements, panic alarms, intruder alarm, general power, emergency lighting and lightning protection.
