ESD Wins £9 CAMHS Scheme

ESD have recently been appointed to perform the detailed mechanical and electrical design, as part of the contracting team, for the new £9M Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at Chester Countess Hospital. The new unit will be a `Tier 4’ facility, providing in-patient and day-patient care for children and young people with severe and/or complex health needs, providing 26 beds in two wards of 12 and 14 beds.
The scheme is being designed to BREEAM excellent standard with the incorporation of PV array, CHP system and Air Source heat pump system.
Construction of the new CAMHS unit began at the end of March 2015, with completion scheduled for May 2016.
